My timing could not have been better as I arrived at Jan's house on the one day of the week when she works from home. Unfortunately my box was a bit squashed, my clothes are ok and Jan is making me a new one in time for my trip to South Africa!
I was hungry after my long trip from Norway, Jan made me oatcakes and Scottish cheddar which she says came from the Isle of Bute. The oatcakes were special mouse sized ones!! She also let me try some IRN BRU, a strange metallic tasting beverage which is very popular with Scottish people, apparently.
Tomorrow I am going to try on my new kilt. It's very chilly in Scotland, which is why I'm wearing my sweater.
