Elliot in England - Suffolk

Elliot's England Diary
Tuesday 22nd June
Today I arrived in Suffolk! After a quick tour of the house that is to be my home for the next week, I had a cup of tea and a slice of choccy cake and was reunited with my luggage! Hurrah! At last!
an English rose, some tea, some cake, I must be in England!
Not much else happened really, I took a look round and was offered to stay here, Gingerbread House. It was very spacious but I opted for one of the guest rooms inside the big house instead, I wasn't fooled by the sky, it may look sunny here but I knew rain was on the way.

There is a cat in this house, his name is Dudley Darcy Dickens. He's ignored me quite a bit, thankfully, but there was a bit of a hairy moment when he decided to chew my right foot! No damage done. I watched some tennis on the television and got used to the English air, it had got quite a bit cooler suddenly. It seems to rain a lot in England. I spent the night in a room known as The Tudor Room. I was very comfy, and listened to the sound of the English rain pat against the window as I fell asleep.
zzzz..bliss, I'm sleeping!
Wednesday 23rd June
ooh, I could get used to this. I have been relaxing! I slept late, took a shower, had a light lunch of cheese (which Dudley stole and ate!) then watched 'The Santa Clause 2' while Aunt Sadie did some ironing. I spent some time in Gingerbread House contemplating life and watching the rain fall outside. It was very nice. No tennis to watch today, as it's rained all day long,so it got cancelled!
me with Dudley - Friends forever!
This is me with Dudley, as you can see, we are getting on well.
Thursday 24th June
This morning I was bundled up in a cosy jumper and jacket, borrowed from two of the friendly bears that live here.(named Rory and Henry) I needed the extra layers, no one said how cold it would be, don't they have summer in England? I'm used to Californian sunshine for goodness sake. Anyway, Aunt Sadie put me in her backpack, I had my head poking out of the top so I could see what was going on. Supermarkets are fun! Apparantly, it's something called a Weekly Big Shop, and you get to buy lots of cheese and things. Wow! Tonight there is what Aunt Sadie calls 'Boring Football' on TV. So we are going to have a 'Girls night'! A lavender bath, face packs and manicures. We are going to watch videos, drink wine and eat chocolate. I have no idea what any of that means, but it sounds like fun. Oh, and I have some shoes! Well, Wellington Boots actually. It turns out that when it rains in England (which from what I have seen is a lot) people wear boots so they can splish splash in puddles. So, Aunt Sadie measured my feet and made me some boots.
me in my boots
I am going to take them with me on the rest of my journey, so if I come across any more of this wet weather I am well prepared!

I sneaked into the scanner so I could show you my borrowed clothes!
ooh, look at me!
while out shopping I was able to sneak in a little souvenir into the shopping trolley! ha ha! Don't think Aunt Sadie noticed! Tee hee!
Friday 25th June
This is how I spent much of my time last night:
wine & chocs, yum!
After some pampering, I relaxed downstairs with a glass or two of wine and some choccys. 'Girls Night' was fun. After my travels I am enjoying my week of relaxation and what I've been told is 'Me Time'. I put some gunk on my face called a mud pack and took a lovely bubble bath.
hey! I need some privacy
look at those bubbles!
hmm, does this shade suit me?
ooh, not sure how that picture got there, I was just looking at the stuff, not trying it out you understand!
