Tuesday March, 15th 2005 G'day everyone, well as you can see I've already picked up a new 'aussie' word - "g'day". Auntie Julie taught me how to pronounce it, so that I sound like a real Aussie. It's a quick "g" sound as in "g for girl" followed by "day". (by the way they pronounce Aussie as "Ozzie")
Strike me pink, I'm hardly in the door and she's teaching me things already. Uncle Dave picked me up from the post office, and took me home to meet the rest of the family which includes their daughter Brooke, son Matt and....er...um...two cats!!!! Oh no, not another house of cats. I'll try and be on my best behaviour (yes, that's how 'they' spell behaviour). The first thing I noticed is that their accent is very different from mine. They pronounce words like "better" as "betta" without the 'er' on the end. That sure is very different to what I am used to. Mom Darylynn...I may come home with a funny accent, is that OK?
Just had to let you see my beautiful new bag! Thank you aunty Susie, it's way cool!
Look how beautifully Aunty Susie tucked me in!
Now where was I, oh yes, it's really hot here today, very sunny and not a cloud in the sky. I had to go through my bag and change into some much cooler clothes. Auntie Julie and Brooke are going to make me some new clothes real soon, that sure will be exciting. I love new clothes and I have so many wonderful new ones in my bag from all around the world. Anyway, once I got changed, I was busting for a cup of tea, but I did a little bit of exploring first.
My, this is fun, a whole new house to explore! |

I just had to sit down and relax for a bit. Aunty Julie is going to make me some tea.

This is a really pretty tea pot, but I'm awfully thirsty I think I'll have to ask Aunty Julie if she can make me a bigger pot of tea.

Now, that's more like it!

I just overheard Uncle Dave and Auntie Julie saying something about taking me to Sydney in the next few days. I don't think I was meant to hear that, so I can't be sure of exactly when, but I'll let you know as soon as I know for sure.
Yawn.....it's been a very big trip, and I sure could do with a little nap. See you a bit later when I've had some much needed beauty sleep...just a little itty- bitty one.
now, a mouse could get used to this real quick!

I'll be back soon, just going to the land of nod!
Hey look, I'm helping Brooke hold the pages while she plays the piano for me. It's not often I get serenaded by a pretty blonde!
arrh, and doesn't she play beautifully! I wish I could do that!

Hey, I can't believe it, they've got an "Elliot" sized piano that I can play. How cool is that! |

|
Oh, oh...this could spell trouble. I think I'm OK, wait, she's purring "she loves me!" |
